Rick is the founding principal of Designcore Engineering Ltd. and has over 40 years of experience in the electrical industry and is a very recognizable award winning electrical engineer in Alberta. A graduate of the University of Calgary, Rick is known for his innovative lighting, practical and cost effective designs. He has been recognized by the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America with numerous lighting awards over his career. His experience includes numerous Calgary Exhibition and Stampede and Calgary Zoo projects. Rick's focus is on high rise commercial, multi-family residential and mixed use style projects. Rick is registered as a Professional Engineer with APEGA, EGBC, as well as a LEED accredited professional. Always willing to give back, Rick has volunteered on numerous boards including Hockey Calgary, Consulting Engineers of Alberta, Illuminating Engineering Society (past president), coached hockey for 30+ years, Condo board vice president, etc.
